Voice Studio Guide: TTS, Transcription & Meeting Notes

2026/10/14

ArcwellStack Voice Studio is a browser-based tool with three jobs: turn text into speech, turn recordings into transcripts, and turn meetings into notes. Unlike desktop applications, it requires no installation and works on any device with a modern browser. This guide covers how to run each tool, what each run costs, and how credits and billing work.

Whether you are creating voiceovers for YouTube videos, transcribing podcast episodes, or generating meeting summaries for your team, Voice Studio handles all three workflows in one place.

Quick start

  1. Create an account at sign up.
  2. Buy a credit pack or subscribe on the Pricing page.
  3. Open Voice Studio, pick a tool, and run it.

No software to install — everything runs in the browser.

How to convert text to speech online

  1. Paste or type your text (up to 3,000 characters per run).
  2. Pick one of six preset voices.
  3. Choose a language: English, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, French, or German.
  4. Run the tool, then play the audio in the browser or download it.

Cost: 2 credits per run.

Good for video narration, voiceovers, read-aloud versions of articles, and language practice clips.

Tips for better TTS results

  • Keep sentences under 200 characters for the most natural pacing.
  • Use punctuation deliberately — commas create short pauses, periods create longer ones.
  • For names or technical terms that the voice might mispronounce, try phonetic spelling (e.g., "NanoID" → "nay-noy-ID").
  • If you need longer content, split it into chunks and concatenate the audio files afterwards.

How to transcribe audio to text with speaker labels

  1. Upload an audio or video file, or paste a public audio URL.
  2. Run the tool.
  3. Get a transcript with each speaker labeled, and copy it in one click.

Cost: 3 credits per file.

Good for interviews, podcast episodes, lectures, and customer calls.

Tips for accurate transcription

  • Use clear, close-mic recordings when possible — background noise reduces accuracy.
  • File formats supported: MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC, OGG, and video containers (MP4, MOV).
  • For files over 30 minutes, consider splitting them first; very long files may take longer to process.
  • Speaker labels work best with 2–4 distinct voices. More than that may cause label confusion.

How to turn a meeting recording into notes

  1. Upload the meeting recording.
  2. Run the tool.
  3. Get three things back: the full transcript, a short summary, and a list of action items.

Cost: 5 credits per file.

Good for team meetings, client calls, and workshops where you need decisions and follow-ups, not just raw text.

Getting the most from meeting notes

  • Start the recording as early as possible — the AI summarises from the beginning.
  • Share the generated notes with attendees directly; the transcript section is fully editable.
  • Action items are extracted automatically, but review them before sharing — the AI may miss subtle commitments.
  • Save important meeting notes as PDFs for your records.

Voice Studio is designed for users who want a quick, no-setup solution for common voice tasks. If you need voice cloning, a developer API, or support for 100+ languages, a desktop or API-first tool may be a better fit.

Credit pricing at a glance

ToolCredits per runTypical use
Text to Speech2Voiceovers, narration, e-learning
Speech to Text3Interviews, podcasts, call recordings
Meeting Notes5Team meetings, client calls, workshops

Credits measure tool runs, not characters or audio minutes. For example, 200 credits cover 100 Text to Speech runs, about 66 transcriptions, or 40 meeting notes — or any mix.

How credits work

  • The cost is shown in the studio before you run a tool.
  • Failed runs don't use credits.
  • Your balance is in the top menu and in Settings → Credits.

Do credits expire?

Yes. How long they last depends on what you bought:

PurchaseCreditsValid for
Starter Pack ($49)20030 days
Pro Pack ($199)1,00090 days
Studio Pack ($499)3,000365 days
Monthly plans (from $29/mo)500+The current billing month
Annual plans (from $290/yr)6,000+12 months

Annual plans are billed once for the year, and the full annual allowance is issued up front rather than monthly. See Pricing for every plan.

Credit pack or subscription?

  • Credit pack — a one-time purchase that never renews. Pick this for a single project or to try the tools.
  • Subscription — renews automatically until you cancel. Pick this if you use the studio every month.

Which is cheaper? If you run more than 100 Text to Speech credits per month, the monthly plan saves money. For occasional use, a credit pack is more flexible.

Billing, cancellation, and refunds

  • Payments are processed by Stripe, in US dollars.
  • Cancel anytime in Settings → Billing. Your plan stays active until the end of the paid period.
  • Payment history is in Settings → Payments, with View Invoice where an invoice is available.
  • Nothing is shipped: credits are added to your account after payment is confirmed. If a confirmed payment is missing, email support with your account email and order number.
  • Refunds follow the Refund Policy.

What Voice Studio does not include

To set expectations, here is what you will not find in Voice Studio:

  • No developer API or SDK. Voice Studio is a browser tool, not an API. If you need to integrate voice capabilities into your own application, this is not the right product.
  • No voice cloning. You can choose from six preset voices, but you cannot upload a reference recording to create a custom voice.
  • No dubbing or real-time voice agents. The studio is designed for one-off runs, not live conversations or video dubbing pipelines.
  • No enterprise deployment. There is no on-premises option or white-label version available.

If any of these features are essential to your workflow, consider a desktop local tool or an API-first platform instead.

Acceptable use

You must have the rights to any text or audio you upload. Don't use the studio to impersonate real people, commit fraud, or create harmful content. Details are in the Terms of Service.

#You can also combine tools in a single workflow. For example, transcribe a meeting recording first, then use the transcript as input for Text to Speech to create an audio recap for teammates who could not attend.

When to use each tool

Not sure which Voice Studio tool fits your needs? Here is a quick decision guide:

  • Use Text to Speech when you have written content — an article, script, or product description — and need it spoken aloud. Ideal for video voiceovers, e-learning modules, accessibility read-aloud features, and podcast intro scripts.
  • Use Speech to Text when you have an audio or video recording and need a searchable, editable transcript. Ideal for interview archival, podcast show notes, legal deposition records, and customer support call review.
  • Use Meeting Notes when you need more than a transcript — a summary and action items extracted automatically. Ideal for stand-ups, client calls, brainstorming sessions, and board meetings where follow-through matters.

You can also combine tools in a single workflow. For example, transcribe a meeting recording first, then use the transcript as input for Text to Speech to create an audio recap for teammates who could not attend.

FAQ

How many text to speech runs do I get with the Starter Pack?

200 credits ÷ 2 credits per run = 100 runs, each up to 3,000 characters. That is enough for a short eBook narration or dozens of social media clips.

Is there a length limit for speech to text?

Each file costs a flat 3 credits regardless of duration. If a file can't be processed, the run fails and no credits are used. There is no hard file-size limit, but very long files (over 2 hours) may time out. For lengthy content, split the file into smaller segments first.

What happens if a run fails?

No credits are deducted. You can retry immediately from the run history. Common causes of failure include unsupported file formats, extremely low audio quality, or text that exceeds the 3,000-character TTS limit.

Do unused credits roll over?

No. Credits are valid for the period listed in the table above. Any remaining credits expire when the period ends, so plan your usage accordingly.

Can I keep using credits after I cancel?

Yes, until the end of the period you already paid for. After cancellation, no new credits are added, but you can continue using what remains until expiry.

Can I use Voice Studio for commercial projects?

Yes. Anything you generate is yours to use commercially. You retain full ownership of the audio files and transcripts you create. See the Terms of Service for full details.
